Hey!

My name is Kaylin, but everyone calls me Red.

The idea behind Red Round the World was born when I finally capitalized on the opportunity to begin fulfilling my travel addiction and the healing notion of taking life as an adventure.  I love living in color and taking risks. I don’t just love my red hair but the color red has always been in the forefront of my mind, more so than science can account for. The thing about color is the way it’s used and the stories color tell us. I want to capture the color in life and the color in culture.

 

I am masters level graduate but 5 years in a classroom really just fed my wanderlust. My specialty was in international family therapy and I am traveling the world with a unique approach to international experiences. In between classes you would find me either traveling and exploring or working long hours so I could afford to travel. I don’t think there is a one size fits all way to travel, or to blog. So I am here to share my experience in taking the first few steps to my new beginning. Currently my home base is in Portland, Oregon USA, but in a few short months I expect that to change. I am in limbo waiting to find out if I am accepted to the Peace Corps and where I will be headed next.  Just another chapter in life’s adventure story.

 

I travel independently and try to experience life and culture in a holistic way. I am more about the moment than anything else and I want my followers to gain confidence in themselves and the fact that they can travel too. I am not a quit my job, sell everything, and live on the road kind of girl (not yet anyway), but I am willing to set off for 10 plus countries a year!
