I’ve watched the sunset in over 30 countries but when you gaze into the burning red horizons of the Caribbean its hard not to ask the question, “will I ever think to actually leave this place?”
Your eyes drift the horizon and they mesmerize you. Your heart drops and the embers in the sky pull you in for every second. It’s impossible to look away. Every thought you have brings your focus to the shades and range pomegranate pink to the most passionate reds that enflame the horizon. The marvel of a waning sun invokes an emotion that is unparalleled. Sunset teaches us the paradox of simplicity and how it brings great complexity into our lives. If you listen you’ll face the intricacies within yourself and from them you cannot hide, even in your silence. These dancing skies tell only the stories of when time stands still and our hearts flood. The clouds carry our dreams and the sun whispers promises so seductive that we close our eyes and lean into them. The waves crash and silences the doubts we carry. As they pull back they take with them the moments where we questioned ourselves and into the sea they disappear consumed by the rich sapphire blues.
